Pets Available for Adoption

Sometimes we have animals for adoption here at Shauna's.

When we have an animal for adoption, there is an adoption fee.

This fee in its entirety is donated to a particular animal charity. Check out the charities below to see who your adoption fee will go to.

Standard & Fancy Goldfish

We often have standard and fancy goldfish available for adoption. Like all goldfish, they will need at least a 100 litre aquarium for two goldfish, and 60 litres extra per goldfish. Goldfish should never be kept alone as they are a highly social species!

The ideal environment for standard goldfish would be a pond with lots of other fish however, they must be kept in a large tank indoors until it is warmer outside. Introducing them when it is too cold outside might send them in to shock!

For our fancy Goldfish, we would recommend a large indoor aqaurium.

Please ensure you have researched the correct set up for new potential fish and make sure your tank is cycled! Before adopting fish out we will ask to see a photograph of the aquarium and may ask for a water sample.

The adoption fee per goldfish is €6 which will be donated to one of our charities or to our rescue vet fund in Raheny Vet Clinic.

Hi my name is Pebbles. I am a Rescue Roborovski Hamsters

Pebbles is a female Roborovski Hamsters searching for her forever homes.

We recieved this litter Miracle Hill Sanctuary, to help them find 5 star homes. Pebbles is the Mother of Peanut and Patches. We would love for her to find a forever home to settle in to.

Miracle Hill rescued these hamsters who were being cohabbed in a tiny cage. Thanks to them, they are now in store and all thriving!

Pebbles will need a minimum of a 100 x 50cm enclosure filled with hamster safe accessories and enrichment. Hamsters are solitary species so will need to be homed alone. Robo hamsters tend to be quite independent so this species would suit a home that would prefer to bond with their hamster by creating an amazing enclosure for them to explore and creating fun enrichment for them to figure out. Pebbles is very handlable and curious and loves mealworms and locusts!

Meet Bumble Bee - Female Leopard Gecko!

Bumble Bee is an Adult female Leopard Gecko. She arrived to our store after her previous home no longer wanted her. The store where she was originally purchased would not take her back.

Since arriving in store, we can see she is an incredibly sweet gecko. She is very handleable and super curious! She did arrive sligtly overweight, so the team have been working on monitouring her diet. She has no other health issues.

Bumble Bee will require a minimum of a 4 x 1.5 x 1.5 ft wooden vivarium, complete with heating, lighting and appropriate decor. Leopard Geckos are solitary, so will need to have an enclosure all to herself.

We do not keep any adoption fee for rescue animals, so by you purchasing accessories it helps us to continue to help in these circumstances.

Meet Lemoncello - Female Leopard Gecko!

Lemoncello is an Adult female Leopard Gecko. She arrived to our store after we had been contacted by another chain store after being dumped with another group of geckos. Unfortunatly, two of the leopard geckos were suffering from serious health issues and are under veterinary care. Thankfully, Lemoncello has no known health issues and can go to a new home!

Lemoncello is an incredibly sweet gecko. She is a little nervous of people but becoming more confident everyday. She has been eating but will need an confident owner who can continue working on this.

Lemoncello will require a minimum of a 4 x 1.5 x 1.5 ft wooden vivarium, complete with heating, lighting and appropriate decor. Leopard Geckos are solitary, so will need to have an enclosure all to herself.
